I am a jazz musician and a devotee of the 1930's -- both music and clothes. I have engaged master pattern makers and local made-to-measure tailors in an ongoing attempt to capture the authentic look of a suit from the era -- with moderate success. But with Indy's Washington suit, I have gotten the real thing. When I tried the suit on, my wife spent a lot of time staring critically without making any comments, which I thought meant there were problems. Finally, she said, "Your other suits look like they were made by someone trying to copy the 1930's, but this looks like you just stepped out of a 1930's movie!" Also, the suit fits exceptionally well -- despite my doubts about how that could be done by emailed measurements. And the quality is very good --working sleeve buttons, floating canvas construction (as an extra), flawless fit of the peaked lapels, etc. Finally, as others have noted, Indy was extremely patient with my many questions and many detailed directions -- even double checking on my extremely wide trouser thigh measurement (26" to capture the cut of 1930's pants). Now, on to the other suits, Fairbanks, Cagney, Chinatown -- I'll be back!

This is my new favorite suit - wore it out to a business meeting, and got a number of compliments. The fit is perfect, and the quality is absolutely top-notch, full of little details typically missing in modern, off-the rack suits. The lapels are thicker and heavier, the seams are tougher, the weight of the wool is clearly high quality, the cuff buttons actually work, etc. etc. Very nice, and won't be my last purchase from Magnoli.

This is indeed the suit of my dreams! Since I was a high school kid, I wanted a 1940s-style double-breasted suit, and this is it! Mr. Magnoli is MOST PATIENT when it comes to getting all the necessary specifications (and answering all of my myriads of questions!), helping you select the right kind of material for the suit itself (I had my Washington Double-Breasted Suit done in a navy pinstripe material), and his craftsmanship is second-to-none! I would NOT HESITATE to buy another suit from Magnoli Clothiers. If you've been scouring the Internet trying to find the right kind of classic-vintage-throwback suit, look no further; this is the right design at the right place at the right price!

I recieved my Washington DB suit today. It looks and fits great!! I have been looking for a vintage suit in my size but they are nearly impossible to find, but thanks to Indy, I now have the suit I wanted and it is made to fit me. I can see more Magnoli Clothiers suits in my future.

Beautifully-tailored. It's almost as if it was cut in person rather than according to my measurements. I wear suits nearly every day and this one just became my new favorite.
