I've had messenger bag type satchels before but they were always too big and the straps were always sewed to the satchel. With the metal rings on this one you can use whatever type of strap you want and if it breaks or anything you can always change it out. Much more versatile that way. The fabric is sturdy and I had these really old German military leather suspenders that were missing the back strap. So they mad the perfect leather strap to use with this bag. The bag is smaller than the large satchels, which works much better for what I need in my day to day EDC carrying tasks. Simple and stylish but utilitarian all at the same time. Shipping was much quicker than I anticipated, and the customer service at Magnoli Clothiers is some of the best I've ever experienced. American companies need to be more like that.
