So, I was hesitant to get this order done. I get my dress shirts & slacks for the office made custom, but always with an in-person tailor; We've all seen the reviews of Magnoli's work, so I knew basically how it would look, but I was still hesitant to email my measurements across the world to some guy I've never met.
Suffice it to say that my worry was misplaced. Magnoli was a pro, obviously used to doing this, and we went back and forth over two or three nights getting it right. And by the way - he wasn't as dogmatic as my "real" tailor, who's always telling me "no."
For example, I wanted the Armholes higher than Magnoli had first recommended - I really think high armholes are the absolute key to any jacket fitting correctly. Now, I'm sure he would've stopped me if I was doing something crazy stupid, but he was 100% accepting of my suggestions, and that was very refreshing.
The jacket arrive in about three weeks, and I couldn't be happier. It fits exactly right, and it's a perfect casual run-about jacket - appealingly non-desrcript in its lack of obvious branding, but clearly custom fitted. And I feel great in it.
One telling thing - my wife even likes it, so you know it must be good.
Anyway, I'll definitely buy from Magnoli again, and would happily recommend him to my friends and family.
