A smart, suit-cut overcoat with double-breasted closure. The back has a high centre-vent and long low split with button closure. Besom pockets are angled slightly for ease of use. This style of coat was popular in the 1930s and is also worn by the 10th Doctor Who.

The coat shown here was made from a suede-like upholstery fabric, just like the original Doctor Who coat. Our coat is available in this custom fabric in many colors (shown here in screen accurate "golden rod") as well as our standard cashmere/wool blend overcoat fabric.

I bought my coat because I am such a Doctor Who fan, I also ordered the faux suede version of the coat. Really, if you are umming and ahhing about whether or not to buy this coat. Do it. It looks exactly what The Doctor's looks like plus it's a great coat I can wear to any occasion. I recommend the suede version. On customer service, Indy was the best person I have ever dealt with when ordering on the internet. Many emails were sent backwards and forwards regarding modifications that I wanted done to the coat. He was so good to put up with my questions and modifications. If you are worried about measurements, you shouldn't be. Indy helped me with everything when measuring plus recommending how I could make it a bit larger to grow into. The coat fits brilliantly, the correct length, everything. I am so pleased I just can't help looking at it in my wardrobe. Overall, Magnoli Clothiers is one THE best online stores I have ever dealt with. I love the quality, I loved the service, it is well worth the price. I will defiantly buy from here again.

If you're at all considering purchasing this coat -- if you have any reservations whatever about whether it will fit properly, or only be something of a Halloween costume, or if you think it's too much of an expense -- my advice to you is just to do it. Seriously. Treat yourself. I quite simply cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with the outcome. My expectations were sky high, and then there was a mix up with the shipping company (which was no fault of anyone at Magnoli Clothiers, mind you) that delayed the delivery of my coat by a long time... but this coat still exceeded my hopes! I agree with all the glowing reviews that have been posted so far: it is beautifully cut, made from a wonderful material (I ordered the faux suede version) and has quite a alot of "swoosh" to it. This is honestly the closest thing to a cape (strictly in terms of how heroic and awesome it makes you feel) that you can wear in modern society. Absolutely top marks!

I've had this coat for a while now and it has been sadly left to hang in my wardrobe as it has been too warm for me to wear out, however the days grow shorter and you can start to feel a slight chill which means it won't be long until I can wear it again. This is a truly excellent coat and Magnoli have a truly wonderful and friendly service. I had been looking for a coat like this as I am a big Doctor Who fan for a long, long time and was ecstatic to find one that wasn't a cheap version from an online costume shop. Worth every penny and I'll definately be using Magnoli again!

(review refers to the screen accurate clay/upholstery version) I'm a big fan of the design in New Who, and Magnoli's copy of this coat takes the biscuit. It is a lot less heavy/bulky than I'd imagined, but looking again at reference pictures, I think Magnoli Clothiers got it bang on. There's a lot of 'swoosh' to this, so this coat sort of follows you around, looking marvelous :-) . Easily one of the best things in my wardrobe, and far superior to other versions of this style overcoat I've seen. Top marks.

Excellent coat! It fits perfectly and is extremely well made. I didn't know how to take the measurements, but Indy was patient and helpful and made it easy. It arrived in perfect condition and well within the time frame promised. This coat is not just a costume, but a well-made, truly usable trench coat. I look forward to doing business with Magnoli Clothiers again.

This gets a three-star review, not because it's not a cracking coat, which it is, but because it arrived with the wrong colour lining (which Indy said he'd replace for nothing) and a big problem - there was a large pocket of extra material in the back vent which stuck out when worn. There was absolutely no way it could be worn without looking like there was something seriously wrong with it. Credit again, Indy said he'd see what he could do, but I decided to let a local tailor fix it, rather than face the uncertainty of sending an expensive item off again, with the associated shipping costs. However, it has come up trumps (Elite Alterations, Holburn St, Aberdeen, fixing-fans!) and I'll be having the lining fixed there too. So, a couple of niggles, but now it's fixed it's *stunning*-looking, and it won't put me off my quest to long-term quest to buy everything Indy sells.
