I've had messenger bag type satchels before but they were always too big and the straps were always sewed to the satchel. With the metal rings on this one you can use whatever type of strap you want and if it breaks or anything you can always change it out. Much more versatile that way. This bag is really solid. It fits my needs of carrying around a small notebook, pens, and small electronics (phone and ipod) to class. It looks like it can hold up to Chicago weather. Overall it is a great bag. Everyone should own one. Very detailed. If you want an Indy bag then this is for you.

My satchel arrived in under two weeks. The color is awesome, Other Satchel repros are often a dark green canvas, and shrink with distressing methods, as well as not having the correct metal disc and the divider in the main pocket. I received my satchel a few days ago and am greatly impressed by the quality workmanship and attention to detail! The satchel is of sturdy construction, has roomy inside compartments and a quality leather strap. The satchel is a dead ringer for Indiana Jones' MKVII bag.

I just received a Magnoli strap for my vintage W & G MK VII gas mask bag. The strap's leather is very soft and pliable and of very high quality. It will be an excellent accessory to my WWII antique. Cheers Magnoli!

The bag is solid and well constructed. It is softer than an original MK VII bag with the fabric still feeling tough and durable.
