I bought this bag for my husband for Christmas. He loved it! The quality is great and it looks just like the one in the movie. I was able to track the shipment easily from New Zealand to the US! Very cool!..

I wanted to order this bag from the moment I saw Adam Savage's video about it but couldn't really justify the cost back then. But, not long ago, I needed to retire my old travel bag and though it was the perfect opportunity to order this one. Right when I first unpacked it, I noticed that the rope joint was placed at an awkward spot for prolonged usage. I don't know if they are all made like that but mine has the joint in between two of the metal rings that fold together when the bag is being transported. What that does is it puts more stress than needed on the joint and it visually started degrading after multiple uses. I tried moving it down to the loop section, which I think would be the best place for it to go unnoticed, but couldn't get it past the piece of material that holds both ropes together, which could be used as a stopper if it was sturdier and glided more easily on the ropes themselves and is another thing that I find annoying. But I understand that the original bag was just a movie prop and not really intended for multiple use so a replica would have the same problems. But I think it could use some work. Those two are pretty much the only things I don't enjoy from this item. I still really like it because the Bourne Identity is one of my favorite movies and owning a replica of his "Burn Bag" is quite the rush for me. The color is beautiful. The ropes look nice except from the occasional piece of thin white plastic that comes out of it but whatever. Overall, I'm still satisfied with my purchase and looking forward to ordering more things from Magnoli...

After years, ok, DECADES of deciding whether to get this or not, I needed cheering up this year and took the plunge (it's a lot of money for me for a bag, and my lifestyle doesn't really call for collecting movie props) I've actually been using a red Nike duffel gym bag all this time!
First time customer and couldn't be happier. I bought this to use it as a daily bag, not to keep it in a nerd den away from the light of day, so my review will be from a function point of view, as well as aesthetic.
First off, I was confused that it doesn't work exactly like a "normal" drawstring bag, as the bottom of the string can be untied and tied again to a metal ring, and it has leather stoppers preventing 100% complete free movement; just something different to normal bags and after figuring it out, it's grown on me!
I'm happy with the quality; the ropes are nice and chunky, the canvas is thick and sturdy enough to feel it can carry whatever fits in there, the craftsmanship feels secure and doesn't feel like it will give way at any point, and the actual attention to detail aesthetically speaking is bang on... of course it is!
It's large enough to fit a weekend's worth of clothing in if you're in need of a quick get away ;) and the circular base gives it more structure allowing you to find things more easily than a standard duffle bag. It's not ridiculously big either.
It is unique in terms of design as it is, so I wouldn't be surprised if it does turn heads, and wouldn't feel too happy about putting it down anywhere, regardless of price, or it being a prop replica.
With everything going on... backlogs of deliveries due to Covid and Christmas, I was expecting it to take up to 6 months to arrive, but it actually took 5 days. 5 DAYS! From New Zealand to England!! Very impressed, and it has made me feel more comfortable in ordering from Magnoli again. Only thing is to check the tax amount in your country, and make sure you're not over charged - I think I was (through no fault of Magnoli) and am starting a claims process with DHL.
To summarise (TL/DR): Good solid sturdy bag large enough to be used, alongside attention to detail and build/material quality.
Just make sure it doesn't actually end up in an incinerator if you happen to visit a bank in Switzerland!..
