These glasses are beautiful. They are really well made and even captured the interest of my oculist, who thought they were dead-stock vintage when they first saw them. I wish the frames were wrapped in chestnut acetate like the sides but I understand, at this price point, that everything you’re getting is well worth it. If the exclusion of the chestnut wraps around the metal frames is a deal breaker for you there are plenty of people out there who can make wraps for these glasses. Now as for the fit and proportions: they fit great for a medium width average wearer. Their proportions are superior to their Saville Row counterparts. I was going to order the far-more expensive Saville Rows at almost $500, but in order to get the right width, the lens height would make me look like a Chihuahua. Magnoli’s glasses, however, have a lens height that is far more complimentary to my average width face. That, and the incredible price point, sealed the deal for me. I am now anxiously awaiting their return from my oculist, modernized with polycarbonate lenses, anti-reflective coating and blue light filter. The future meets the past thanks to Magnoli Clothiers...

Back when I was a fresh out of high school, I had my prescription put in an antique pair of glasses frames. I absolutely loved those glasses, and had two subsequent prescription updates put in them. Unfortunately, I ended up sitting on them years ago, and have been wearing regular modern frames since. Flash forward almost 30 years, I had REALLY missed those wire ear loops because I REALLY loved the fit and look of them, and that I wasn't constantly pushing them up the bridge of my nose. My new Magnoli "Professor" frames came today, and I'm taking them to an optician Monday or Tuesday! REALLY love these! Modern nose pads and more comfortable than my antiques! Thanks much!..

If you have a thin head this gets 5 stars hands down. I showed up with these at my local oculist so I could put in prescription glass and they were blown away by the look. I really like the impression they emit and the arms make it even more special. For me however, the frame is not wide enough for my head. The thin arms really dig into my skin, just above my ears. I cannot wear them the whole day without it becoming slightly painful. Absolutely worth the $80 though!..
