This is a very striking, perhaps flamboyant, garment and a pretty comfortable one while its at it. The quilted trim, especially the lapel, is very eye-catching and it recalls a tuxedo jacket more than a little. This blend, especially with a relaxed cut, makes something relaxed, but not strictly casual. It's actually a quite substantial garment, perhaps being a little heavier than I had anticipated, and the quilted trim has nice volume and 'puff' to it. Between the ample external pockets and a pretty large pair of internal chest pockets, there's plenty of places to keep pipes, cigars, cutters, lighters or, if one doesn't intend to actually smoke while wearing it, plenty of other knick-knacks and curios. My particular example is easy-wearing and care was taken to include a few distinctive added details that I had requested (Barchetta pocket and Austrian cuffs with a braid). I appreciated that accommodation. I think that I'm going go to a little trouble to find excuses to wear my smoking jacket...
