Having accepted that I'd never get my hands on a real Paul Smith holey jumper, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Magnoli replica. And the result is a mixed bag. Its positives are it definitely looks and feels the part. It's woven from a nice, hefty wool whilst still being lightweight and comfortable. It's a little on the itchy side but I think that's just my sensitive skin. In terms of how accurate it is, I have nothing to compare it to, but I'd say this is a good stand-in for the real thing. The collar and cuffs are cut away like in the show and the holes are nicely replicated, albeit a little small.. I don't think the hole pattern is accurate to that on the real jumper but only eagle-eyed cosplayers will notice. This replica does have some negatives though; it's a very short jumper. There is no bottom hem (which, in fairness, is accurate), meaning your t-shirt is more than likely gonna poke out from underneath, You'll either have to tuck your t-shirt in to get the accurate effect, or increase your measurements so as to accommodate for the length.. Also, I'm not sure if this is just a problem on my jumper, but the cut-away sleeves and cuff areas are FAR too large. They swing around freely instead of wrapping closely around the wrist/hand area like in the show, resulting in a pretty goofy, ill-fitting effect not unlike that of a poorly-fitting 70's disco shirt.. Admittedly, I've got very thin wrists, but my wrist measurements were input correctly so I'm not sure what happened there. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality of this jumper and it does the job just fine, but be cautious of your measurements when buying. Perhaps add a couple of inches to each measurement (except for the wrist measurement!!) just to be on the safe side.Rating:  [3 of 5 Stars!]
