I bought the dark brown strap with the flat slider buckle to go with the Mk. VII Satchel. The strap looks and works great. The length of the strap allows for a wide range of adjustment. The strap arrives a little stiff, but like any leather product it soften with use and becomes more comfortable and easier to adjust. I need to adjust the length of mine periodically, but that would seem to be the nature of this kind of product. The only negative I've experienced is that the Chicago screws can come loose with time, and if they fall off they can be difficult to find. The screw that closes the loop that attaches the strap to the metal ring on the bag seems especially prone to this (the one near the buckle does not seem to loosen as much, perhaps because it is more protected. The Chicago screws also make the strap easy to remove, so I suppose this is just a trade-off. I would also warn against using this strap when wearing light-colored clothing, as it can leave a stain, especially if it gets wet or if you get sweaty. This only seems to happen when the strap is brand-new, however...

I ordered the dark brown bag strap with the curved roller buckle with a genuine gas mask bag (worth the purchase!) and I could not be happier! Absolutely amazing quality! The strap fits me just right and is easily adjustable and very durable!..

Finally I have found \'the\' bag strap for me! Yes, it is light, flimsy -- no! It is sturdy and what I like best is that it is refined and truly sharp looking, as would be expected from a Magnoli product! Class act all the way and I can\'t wait for restock of this item, so that I can get the dark brown one for another of my MKVII Bags. The Roller Buckle is the best option of all for this strap. The strap I find too thin and flimsy & the buckle (roller buckle) was the wrong way around, easily fixed though with the chicago screws!..
