Bolivia Tie

First the Good News. This is my 5th Daniel Craig Bond Tie from Magnoli. This one is now my favourite out of all my purchases. I didn’t actually care for it in the movie as he wears this with a brown suit which I would never wear but, I felt I should purchase it to add to the collection. This really exceeded my expectations in terms of colour, pattern and design. I purchased the one in champagne, I didn’t expect to wear it very often and probably only for special occasions similarly to when I wear my Kazan Tie. It goes really well with a plain white shirt. You get a much thicker knot from this tie. The delivery was exceptional fast. I am from the UK and received my order within 8 Days of placing my order. Now the Bad News. I do have a problem with this tie and that is that from the very first wear it started to bobble and has several pulls at the bottom of the tie, I have now worn it about 4 times and this is a real shame because this has not happened with any of my other Ties from Magnoli. I cannot see it lasting very long and I will need to purchase a second Bolivia Tie sooner rather than later. Overall the Bolivia Tie is a very good looking tie but I am disappointed with the quality...

fine made tie worth to collect.
This tie repetitive pattern made by spinning instead of a texture, giving it a three-dimensional feel more color...

One of things I love about Craig's ties are the deceptively simplistic appearance from a distance but the beautiful subtle detail upon close inspection. This tie is no exception and the updated color scheme is unique and true to the film!..

Note: I am reviewing the "Silver" version.
A pretty nice tie. The Tom Ford-styled "MAGNOLI" label is cute. I do wish the tie was a bit wider around the knot area so it made appropriately thick, QoS-like knots. But for $35 I'm not complaining much. I wish they would offer a slightly wider version of this tie at some point to make them a little more screen accurate. As I recall, Tom Ford's standard width ties circa 2008 were 3.75" wide, not 3.5" as they are now. I believe Magnoli restocked the Champagne version recently and the Silver version was basically a run of ties that came back incorrectly-coloured from their manufacturer years ago. So, details might differ due to the version I'm wearing...

The squares are not quite tan and dark brown, but rather a light, old gold and black repeating pattern. The tie will almost come off as a gold tinted silver in some lights. Still very well made and the trained eye will appreciated the intended champagne color...
