British Mark VII Satchel
I have one previously-written review from Feb. 2007, but felt the need to write another. It's been almost 10 years since I bought my FIRST Mark VII satchel from Indy. I have since purchased EVERY new/revised version he has put out, NOT because the others wore out or were defective in any way, but because each one has been slightly different and in my opinion an upgrade from the previous version. Each one is made of slightly higher quality canvas, is a closer color to the film/original satchel, has slightly more accurate dimensions, etc. Indy is constantly improving his craft, and as such his products. I haven't regretted a single purchase, and should he come out with another revision, I'll likely buy it too. This satchel (all variants) has been my daily companion for almost a decade and has been literally around the world with me. Do not hesitate to buy this bag if you are looking for a quality piece of kit with which to carry those daily essentials. 5/5, WILL buy again...

To sum up my reaction upon receiving it: wow...just wow. I managed to snag a vintage mark VII and the canvas at the rings rotted and wore through in a matter of a couple times wearing it. I pulled it out immediately to compare the two. They are damn near identical down to the patterns on the stitching. The only big difference is the buttons on my original are different but that could be different models or something. The multiple interior pockets are great and it feels like it could survive the toughest of beatings ( I was going to say nuclear blast but since this is an Indy related item it brought up a painful refrigerator based memory). I couldn't be happier with this bag.
Side note my fiancé is super jealous and is now demanding one to replace her old purse so I see another purchase in my future...

Wow! Just Wow! I have been after one of these bags for many years searching the UK to find a suitable one.
I found this by chance on-line and was impressed with the quality in the photos and reviews too. I ordered it on April 28th, it was dispatched on 29th and arrived in the UK just 11 days later. I bought the strap separately in the UK for £12 & compliments the bag perfectly. The price including international delivery is amazing as is the quality and attention to detail too. I plan to use it as a day to day bag and look forward to trying it out on a City Break in Madrid soon...

My wife bought this bag for me for my birthday almost a year and a half ago and it hasn't left my side. Only just starting to show wear on the back where I had a notebook in the pocket and the edge rubbed against my leg and wore a small hole in the canvas. An iron on patch fixed that in no time. The cotton web loop for the o-ring is unraveling a bit on one side but the stitching is preventing it from unraveling more. This is a fantastic item and I never leave the house without it!..

I bought this satchel to accompany me during research in West Africa, and it easily proved to be the best piece of equipment I brought with me. The bag continues to stand up to daily wear in humid, tropical conditions. Note that the version sold by Indy includes all the interior pockets and compartments of the original Mark VII. For me, this has been great, as the bag easily accommodates a field journal, a camera, a voice recorder, my house keys, and several other odds and ends, all conveniently organized into separate pouches. After about eight months of constant, daily use, one of the cloth loops that the O-rings pass through started to come unstitched, but a local tailor was able to get it back in working order pretty easily. In sum, this is a tough, smart-looking satchel. You won't be disappointed...
